Having the best people ensures that your projects are dealt with efficiently. We believe that the calibre of the individuals occupying the key roles is paramount and we also have a dedicated management team with many years of industry and on-site experience.
The difference is that the people we choose to employ are all dedicated to their roles and have the experience to prove this.
Barry Softley
Managing Director
Founder and Director of Fibre, he is the grey matter and the motivation behind the company. Barry oversees the operational management of all the large and more complex projects carried out by Fibre and is the leader in pushing forward the strategy for development. With an overwhelming knowledge of everything asbestos-related Barry has worked in the industry for over 20 years heading up large Asbestos contracts on both sides of the channel.
Alan Mitton
Commercial Director
Alan has had over 15 years to perfect his sales skills. Specialising in retail and fast-track abatement, he has worked on such high profile projects as Hampton Court Palace, Heathrow airport and even the South Pole. Alan assists with strategic forward planning for key clients across various size projects.
Nada Mortin
Financial Director
Anything financial and this is your lady, Nada comes with a vast knowledge of finance and law and has successfully run various businesses throughout her career. Her role with Fibre is assisting in driving the operational and strategic development of the company forward.
Jason McIlfatrick
Contracts Manager
Jason is highly organised and co-ordinates the logistics for all the projects throughout the UK. He deals with mid size contracts and organises the teams for the sites taking into account time scales and skills required for each project. Jason leads the team in estimating, planning and delivery of projects with his vast amount of experience. Jason has worked through the ranks to earn his credibility within the industry.
Linda Softley
Marketing & HR Manager
As Marketing and HR Manager, Linda has worked within marketing and branding for over 10 years and has brought a new dimension of experience to Fibre. Her insight and innovation driven mind makes her the ideal candidate to spearhead the communications of Fibre through the various media channels. She is also our people person who brings together a unified and engaged team and deals with all HR matters. Linda also controls all our quality systems, including ISO:9001.
Tony Birchall
Health & Safety Manager
Tony has been a Health and Safety professional since 1996, when he completed his Nebosh general certificate in Health & Safety, since then he has gone on to complete a diploma in Safety, Health & Environmental Management and has been a Health & Safety trainer and NVQ assessor. With his high calibre of Health & Safety experience and training, he brings a wealth of knowledge to Fibre, which will be beneficial to us and all our clients across the country.
David Shackleton
Business Development Manager
David has worked through the ranks to become a highly skilled account manager. He has worked on various campaigns, including high profile sporting events covering all areas of advertising and direct marketing. He has developed various strategies for campaigns in the motor industry with measured results giving the clients the best possible return on investment for advertising. David has come on board to develop new business for Fibre and look for tender opportunities and promote our services to new and existing clients.
Nathan Pinsky
Contracts Supervisor
Before Fibre Nathan spent 12 years in the army on various tours of duty around the world. Nathan started as an asbestos operative 3 years ago and has rapidly worked his way through the ranks to become a contracts supervisor. He will be co-ordinating the smaller projects at first and controlling multiple contracts for Fibre across the UK.
Rachael Atkinson
Projects Co-Ordinator
Rachael started working for us as a receptionist and has managed to grasp the technical side of the asbestos administration. She now works alongside our Contracts Managers to ensure site administration is maintained to a high standard and client/supplier relationships are managed for each project. Her highly organised work method is key in ensuring things run smoothly for all our projects in various areas including equipment, training and site paperwork.
Jess Clayton
Receptionist/Adminstrator
This is our office angel, keeping everything running smoothly, she has amazing skills in organising the office and the team. Her considerable knowledge of office co-ordination, coupled with a strong ability to control and manage our internal systems more than qualifies her for the job. Jess is the main contact for any enquiries and can point you in the right direction for your query.
Paul Watson
Storeman
Materials, equipment, servicing are part of what our storeman deals with to limit any disruption to our working projects. He is the main buyer for the company and helps to ensure the smooth transition from the project start date through to completion.
Our Supervisors
These are our secret weapons, with years of experience and training; all our supervisors are fully qualified with asbestos training, CSCS cards and SMSTS training, including further in-house health & safety training. The supervisors are based on site to ensure the projects run smoothly and efficiently.
Our asbestos operatives
Fibre have a dedicated, professional, hard-working team of asbestos operatives who make sure that the work they carry out minimizes any possible disruption or disturbance to you. Comprehensive training and regular medicals keep track of their safety which for us is vitally important in ensuring that they are able to guarantee yours.
